How do I edit a supplementary file’s attributes?

The ‘pencil’ icon in a supplementary file entry will allow you to change some of the file’s attributes. If you want to change the file’s numbering, please see this article instead.Picture1.png

You can change the following attributes using the ‘pencil’ icon:

1. Supplementary file category: when you upload a supplementary file, it will be given a category depending on its file type. The dropdown will allow you to change the category among the ones available for this file type.
2. ‘For review purpose only’ checkbox: this checkbox will allow you to indicate if a file is only intended for use during review and should not be published by the typesetters.

The Supplementary Material can be uploaded as a Data Sheet (Word, Excel, CSV, CDX, FASTA, PDF or Zip files), Presentation (PowerPoint, PDF or Zip files), Image (CDX, EPS, JPEG, PDF, PNG or TIF/TIFF), Table (Word, Excel, CSV or PDF), Audio (MP3, WAV or WMA) or Video (AVI, DIVX, FLV, MOV, MP4, MPEG, MPG or WMV).

Note that file names will appear as they are uploaded and that we cannot edit these per request. If the naming of your file is vital, upload the file in a zip folder which will retain its intended name.

Ensure that the supplementary file you upload does not contain line numbers or track changes.
