What are Frontiers’ copyright policies?

For any third-party material included in your article, Frontiers requires that you obtain the appropriate permissions and licenses from the third-party rights holders and follow any citation instructions given. Failure to do so may result in the material being removed from your article before publication. Any supplementary charges are to be covered by you.

If you want to reprint your article elsewhere, you can do this as long as you cite the original publication with Frontiers and no third-party licenses apply within the article.

Your article will be published under a Creative Commons CC-BY licence. This essentially means that anyone may copy, re-publish, adapt and/or re-use your content, and create derivative works from it, for commercial or non-commercial purposes, without charge, but they must clearly attribute the work to you and any co-authors, and cite Frontiers as the original publisher of that content.
