Handling Editor: How do I finalize a review?

During the Interactive Review process, the handling editor can finalize the review only after all reviewers have concluded their reports (by either endorsing the manuscript for publication, withdrawing from the review process, or recommending rejection of the manuscript).

To accept a manuscript for publication click Accept Manuscript. The final uploaded version of the manuscript will be sent to the typesetters, and the abstract will be available on the journal website. You may want to contact the author(s) and confirm that the final version of the manuscript has been uploaded to the review forum.

If the author(s) did not manage to improve the manuscript sufficiently to make it ready for publication, including if there are other concerns over the manuscript's quality, or technical/ethical issues, click Recommend for Rejection. In the pop-up box, make sure to add the reasons for the rejection. This message will be sent to the Chief Editor(s) of the section, who will then make the final decision for the manuscript.
